![]() ![]() I pretty much have a brand new suppressor with a solid lockup on the mounting point now. I was only expecting just for sico to change the retention spring in the asr. All i can say is wow! Sico went above and beyond for my warranty. Upon opening the box and looking at the warranty invoice and suppressor i noticed the can was refinished, a new updated asr mechanism was welded on, new end plate, and new baffles installed and welded. 3 weeks after sending the suppressor in i receive the can. Updated them on the ongoing problem and they gave me an rma for warranty service. New asr mount and still the problem persisted. But there are more mount options on the market other than these two. I use both Plan B and ASR, and while ASR works fine, I prefer the Plan B. Then to make sure we checked every possible problem that could cause it they sent me a new asr mount. Versatile mounting system, can use direct thread or Plan B for your precision shooting and ASR or Plan B on other guns. With the long KeyMo muzzle devices you'll need to use the CGS QD Adapter. Emailed sico about it and they helped trouble shoot which was a good temp fix. 2A) The new version of the Dead Air KeyMo (the one without the extra material in front of the threads) in combination with the Key Micro brake works in the Helios QD without using the CGS QD Adapter that's included in the Helios QD kit. Pistol orders are subject to possible legal status change by BATFE and may be re-classified as SBR without. Had problems with the suppressor coming loose while shooting. Silencerco ASR or Dead Air KeyMo brake permanently attached to 16' OAL Cerakote Elite Series finish Includes one Pmag and soft case 7.9 pounds with balance point at the front of the magazine well. Purchased this can back in 2015 so it had some wear and older features. Now that we’ve established a foundation for each of these terms, let’s dive a little deeper into our three categories.Just got my sico specear 762 back from warranty. An active qd suppressor requires you to screw the suppressor on first, and use the other hand to lock the collar on. Dead Air themselves enveloped the HUB pattern with the release of the Nomad, and Griffin Armament did the same thing with the launch of the Bushwhacker 46 even including adapters for their own devices. ![]() Ourselves we have some bi-lock to 1.375 adapters. With a passive qd suppressor, the locking mechanism is activated by screwing the suppressor on to the host firearm. The Dead Air Keymo system allows folks to break into the HUB 1.375×24 TPI space. ![]() Passive vs Active: These locking systems can usually be determined by whether it takes you one hand or two hands to install the suppressor onto your firearm. Non locking is held in place by friction of the taper mount. Locking has mechanisms that have to be manually engaged, like a locking collar. Locking vs Non-Locking: The difference between a locking and non-locking suppressor is in how the suppressor attaches to the muzzle device. īefore we get started, let’s talk about the difference between locking vs non-locking, and passive vs active qd suppressors. The simple one-hand-on, one-hand-off mounting system is compatible with all. Specifically, there are 3 main categories that qd suppressors can fall into: locking passive, locking active, and non-locking passive. The ASR Mount is a quick attach/detach system for almost all Silencerco suppressors. Plus I'd argue the KeyMo flash hider looks less stupid than the ASR hider. Quick attach suppressors have a few different attachment methods that we’ll be diving into. KeyMo is supposed to be sightly more idiot-proof. (also known as Quick Detach or QD Suppressors) ![]()
